Description
The M60-2000 or the 120S is an export modernization kit made by General Dynamics Land Systems marketed to countries who already have a fleet of Patton tanks but lack the means of obtaining more modern main battle tanks. The kit offers many of the features of the M1A1 Abrams tank at a reduced cost including a new diesel powerpack, new armor plates and the transmission system and turret (including the 120mm gun) of the Abrams.
Unfortunately the only two countries who both have interest in the upgrade as well as the industry needed to outfit their tanks with it opted out for the israeli conversion kit, or a national upgrade (Turkey and Egypt, respectively)
It's a chibi Abrams, yay. I guess it would technically perform better than the Sabra and the Egyptian Patton, but it's a whole lot more expensive, and without the depleted uranium strike plates and other armor features it's only moderately better protected than a normal Patton.

Well, USA still has lots of M60-A3's in storage and my country doesn't have the capacity to design and produce it's own tanks + it's an ally of USA [USA signed a treaty that states that if any single nation invades my country, USA will protect us]. To add that USA wants us to get rid of the 130 soviet tanks we have... 65 free M60-2000's + 65 at 75% the price would be great and inspire the government to buy even greater numbers... maybe as many as 1,000... or USA could help as develop our own tank based on an older design of theirs... just saying...
