Description

The Empress-class Super Battleship is a class of massive battleships ordered by the Admiralty in 1940 and was the last set of battleships commissioned for the Royal Elipian Navy. Outfitted with fifteen 16 inch guns housed in five three-gun turrets and a massive amount of AA with the intention of countering the rise of the carrier. Originally was designed to house 18 inch guns, however engineers had dropped the design in favour of 16 inch guns for obvious reasons.

The Empress also housed the most advanced naval radar and electronics suite of any ship during the war, capable of accurately engaging and destroying enemy ships over the horizon nearly 42 km away.

Due to its lumbering size the ships saw little action until the Emmerian Conflict where the lead ship assisted ground troops with off-shore artillery support.

in the 1970s the Empress-classes were refitted with improved electronic suites. many of the machineguns and 5-inch multipurpose guns were replaced with modern CIWS guns and tomahawk and harpoon missile systems.

The five ships of the class were all retired in the 1990s and converted into museum ships.

Do you plan on remastering this or making a version of this with it's "1971" configuration"?
